Raised by her great-aunt since she was nine days old, Candace grew up with her parents involved but not as involved as they should have been. She started church at an early age, watching her great aunt devote her life to her family with her daily sacrifices. The living spaces weren't the best, but it was her ancestor’s home & it was special.
This was a family home & everyone had been raised there.
Eventually losing her mother to a drug addiction, Candace wondered what would come next. Having watched her mother suffer from being introduced to drugs by those that were suppose to love her, she was very uncertain of the path ahead.
Jealously, hatred, & spitefulness from close family members eventually led to betrayal, unraveling secrets, hurt, & an unknown mystery.
With no where to turn, Candace later realizes that she must teach herself the game & learn from her careless mistakes on her own. Young Candace, still not aware of her worth & value as a woman, wondered how she would get through depression, suicidal ideations, verbal, & physical abuse. Already young, hurt, & lost: how could she overcome the unexpected turns that her life had taken? Find out exactly how by reading the Tea I spilled.
